Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again. He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try, as he couldn’t do traditional higher impact exercise, he sent an email to Dallas telling his story.
Page was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey and encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible. Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility, which gave him hope that maybe someday, he’d be able to walk again. Boorman’s story is soon to become a documentary.
Never, Ever Give Up.
For those who know me well, I’m often quoting a traditional English motto “where there is a will, there is way”, as my own life experiences can be easily summed up by this single quote, for that reason I’m very keen in writing about this amazing story here on WoordUp. Don’t waste time thinking you can’t, take control, because you can.
