Zach Sobiech was a very special being, at the age of 14 he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer); and at the age of 17, he was told by doctors that he had up to one year to live. He then decided that he wanted to enjoy his life as much as he could and spend quality time with his family and friends.
During his final days, Zach wrote a song called “Clouds” as a way to say goodbye to his loved ones. The song touched many people with his positive way of seeing life despite his illness. In his own words, he wanted to be remembered as “a kid that went down fighting and didn’t really loose”.
Zach Sobiech passed away one year ago on May 20th, 2013 and the guys from SoulPancake did a follow-up short film on his family, you can watch it here:
